Source hierarchy
Where a factual claim depends on an external authority, we prefer the most direct and authoritative source reasonably available.
- Government, regulator and official policy sources for laws, licences, standards and public requirements.
- Primary platform documentation for search, advertising, email, analytics and software requirements.
- Peer-reviewed or primary research where a medical, scientific or behavioural claim requires research support.
- Original market observations, first-party analytics or clearly identified Care Journey analysis where the claim is our own analysis.
- Reputable secondary sources for context when a more direct source is unavailable or when multiple perspectives are useful.
Fact, interpretation and recommendation
We aim to distinguish sourced facts from Care Journey's interpretation, commercial recommendation, scenario analysis or opinion.
A marketing recommendation can be evidence-informed without being the only reasonable strategy. Where an outcome depends on assumptions or local conditions, the relevant limitation should be made clear.
Healthcare and medical topics
Our audience includes healthcare businesses and professionals, but Care Journey is a marketing consultancy rather than a clinical publisher or healthcare provider.
When marketing content touches clinical, scientific, fertility, medication or health-policy topics, we aim to use appropriate primary or authoritative sources and avoid presenting marketing commentary as patient-specific medical advice.
Regulatory and platform claims
Healthcare-advertising rules, privacy requirements, search features, advertising-platform policies and technical standards can change. Time-sensitive claims should be checked against a current authoritative source at the time of publication or review.
Where a page relies on a regulator, government service or platform requirement, the source should be identifiable from the page or supporting research record when practical.
AI-assisted workflows
Care Journey may use AI-assisted tools for research organisation, drafting, summarisation, translation, coding, quality checks, visual production and analysis.
AI output is not accepted as an authoritative source merely because it is generated confidently. Substantive factual claims should be checked against the underlying source material appropriate to the claim.
Published material should receive human review appropriate to its purpose, risk and audience. Higher-risk claims require stronger source and review standards than routine formatting or copy-editing tasks.
Case studies and proof
Case-study templates may use fictional, demonstration or anonymised content while a layout or methodology is being developed.
Real-client performance claims should be supported by the underlying evidence appropriate to the metric and publication context. Permission, confidentiality, anonymisation and patient-data considerations should be handled before real client material is published.
A case study describes one context and does not guarantee the same outcome elsewhere.
Commercial content and conflicts
Care Journey publishes content about services it sells. Readers should therefore understand that service pages, package pages and some recommendations have a commercial purpose.
Where a material sponsorship, affiliate arrangement or paid placement affects editorial content, it should be disclosed in a way appropriate to the format.
Corrections and updates
We may update pages when source material changes, a regulator or platform issues new guidance, an error is identified, or a clearer explanation becomes available.
Material factual errors should be corrected rather than preserved for consistency. Minor copy-editing, formatting or readability changes may be made without a separate public correction note.
For research or guidance where the date materially affects interpretation, the publication or update date should be visible or otherwise recoverable.
